Divorce Services

Over the past 18 years, I’ve experienced the joy of couples welcoming newborns and adopted children into their families, the excitement when business aspirations turn into reality, and the relief when hard-earned retirement dreams come to fruition. I’ve also observed the heartache and torment caused by divorce and, in fact, experienced that same pain in my own divorce which occurred in 2010. Unfortunately, divorce is much too common in today’s society and comes with both emotional and financial costs. Because of this, I became a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® practitioner which helped me develop the expertise needed to properly advise and guide clients past the many financial pitfalls associated with divorce.

What is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® professional?

A CDFA® professional has specialized skills and experience that enables him or her to analyze the long-term financial impact of divorce. They have met specific education, experience, and ethical requirements, and have been certified by the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFATM). The CDFA® professional abides by a Code of Ethics and completes continuing education requirements on a bi-annual basis.

For many clients, divorce is the largest financial transaction of their lives. The role of a CDFA® professional is to address the special financial issues of divorce with data to help achieve equitable settlements. CDFA® professionals receive special training in divorce-related financial issues such as tax, insurance, support, and property division.
